Turn an accepted quote into an order
Once an opportunity becomes confirmed work, it should stop behaving like a possibility and become an order.
The NEST allows the information you've already gathered during the quote process to move forward into the signing workflow instead of making you start over.
### Confirm the final details
Before scheduling the quote as an order, review what has actually been agreed upon.
Confirm the information you now know, including the appointment details, signer information, service, location, hiring party, and agreed fee where applicable.
A quote may have been created while some of those details were still tentative.
The order should reflect the confirmed assignment.
### Schedule the work
When the quote is accepted and the appointment is confirmed, move it into the order workflow.
The resulting signing becomes part of your normal NEST process for scheduling, communications, mileage, Fee Breakdown, invoicing, payment tracking, reporting, and relationships.
### Tentative becomes confirmed
If the quote was being shown on your calendar with a tentative appointment date, scheduling it replaces that tentative quote activity with the actual order.
This keeps your calendar from showing both the opportunity and the confirmed signing as though they were separate appointments.
### Preserve the difference between offered and accepted
The fee you were originally offered and the fee you ultimately accepted may not be the same.
When those values are available in the workflow, keep the final order information accurate so your business records reflect what you actually agreed to be paid.
The purpose of evaluating an opportunity isn't merely to create an order.
It's to make a better decision **before** the order exists — and then carry the confirmed information forward once you've decided the work belongs on your schedule.
