Create your first signing
The best way to learn The NEST is to run through an order yourself before using it with a real client.
For your first signing, create a **test order** and enter **yourself as the signer**, using your own email address and phone number. This lets you see the workflow from both sides and safely test the messages your clients and signers will receive.
### Before you start
Go to **Settings โ Messages** and review your message templates.
These templates are designed to save you from repeatedly writing the same appointment confirmations, reminders, status updates and other routine communications. Your test signing gives you a chance to see exactly how those messages look when they are actually delivered.
### Create the signing
Choose **New Signing** and create an order using test information.
Enter yourself as the signer with your real:
* Name * Email address * Mobile phone number
Complete the rest of the order with realistic test information so you can see how The NEST handles the signing from beginning to end.
### Test your messages
Use the test order to send the messages you expect to use with real signers.
Because you are the signer, you can check your own email and phone to see exactly what your recipient receives.
Pay attention to:
* How your business is identified * The wording and tone of each message * Appointment details inserted into the message * Links or other information provided to the signer * Anything you would want changed before a real client receives it
If something doesn't look or sound right, return to **Settings โ Messages**, update the template, and test it again.
### Explore the order while you're there
Your test signing is also a safe place to explore the rest of the order workflow. Open the different sections, make changes, update the order's progress, review the fee information, and see how the order changes as it moves through its lifecycle.
You don't have to worry about making a mistake โ this one is for you.
### When you're satisfied
Once your messages and workflow look the way you want them to, you're ready to create your first real signing.
You can keep the test order for reference or remove it when you're finished testing.
