Connect your calendar
Connect your calendar so The NEST can work alongside the schedule you already use instead of becoming another calendar you have to manage separately.
Go to **Settings → Calendar** to set up your calendar connection and preferences.
### Connect Google Calendar
Select **Connect Google Calendar** and choose the Google account containing the calendar you want to use.
The Google account you connect does **not** have to be the same email address you use to sign in to The NEST.
Once connected, new appointments are automatically added to Google Calendar. Changes you make to appointments — including edits and cancellations — are also updated on the connected calendar.
### Add your existing appointments
Connecting your calendar does not require you to recreate the appointments already in The NEST.
After connecting, use **Sync upcoming appointments** to push your existing upcoming, non-cancelled appointments to Google Calendar.
New appointments will sync automatically after that.
### Bring Google Calendar events into The NEST
Calendar integration also allows The NEST to pull events from your connected Google Calendar.
By default, imported Google events appear directly on your NEST calendar as **Calendar Import** events. From there, you can decide whether an event should remain a regular calendar event or be converted into an order.
If you would rather review imported events separately first, turn on **Review calendar imports in an inbox**. Imported events will then be held in the Calendar Inbox for review instead of appearing directly on your calendar.
This is useful when signing appointments are added to your Google Calendar before you've had a chance to create the corresponding order in The NEST.
### Customize how your appointments appear
You can customize the title The NEST uses when placing appointments on your external calendar.
The calendar title can include order information such as the appointment type, service, signer, location, company, order or file number, fee, loan type, and modality.
Set up the title in the way that makes your calendar easiest for you to scan throughout the day.
### Prefer another calendar app?
The NEST also provides an **iCal subscription feed** for calendar applications that support subscribed calendars.
You can use the feed with compatible calendar apps when you don't want to connect through Google Calendar.
The iCal feed is a subscription rather than a Google Calendar connection, so its behavior is different from the full Google integration.
### Your NEST calendar still does more
Connecting an outside calendar doesn't replace the Calendar inside The NEST.
Your NEST calendar remains connected to your orders and business records, while the external calendar integration helps keep your signing schedule visible alongside the rest of your life.
Set up the connection that works best for you, then let The NEST keep your appointment schedule in sync as your orders change.
